Carlos Alvarado and his cabinet will go to Traspaso ceremony by bus

On May 8th, President-elect Carlos Alvarado will make a tour of the main roads of the capital to reach Plaza de la Democracia. Alvarado, his wife Claudia Dobles, and his cabinet will meet at the Costa Rican Art Museum in La Sabana and from there they will take a bus that will take them to the Traspaso ceremony.

The procession will leave at 8 am and will cross Paseo Colón and Avenida Segunda until reaching Plaza de la Democracia. The Powers Transfer will start at 9 am with the Plenary session, and at about 10:30 am Alvarado will be sworn in as the 48th president of the country.

After the official activity, Alvarado and his entourage will go to the National Theater to make the official greeting to the international delegations and offer a cocktail.

In the afternoon, at around 4:30 p.m., the president will leave the theater walking down the Central Avenue again to Plaza de la Democracia to participate in the closing concert of the Traspaso ceremony.
