June 2, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Olman Vargas, president of the Association of Engineers and Architects (CFIA), said that they are examining the suitability of placing telecommunications towers on houses’ roofs.

Therefore, the institution will present an experts’ report to the municipalities to request these constructions are made at ground level.

We have appointed an expert to make a detailed report on whether the design conditions meet the technical requirements”

, said Vargas, who also explained that telecommunication towers are different from those of housing characteristics and therefore should not be located on roofs that were meant for housing.
