Chepe Joven concert was not drug-free

The Municipal Police of San José carried out a great amount of interventions due to consumption of drugs during “Chepe Joven” concert, which took place on Paseo Colón on January 29th.

We have recorded an enormous amount of interventions for drug use, mainly marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy. The police has worked a lot to deal with these situations,

declared Marcelo Solano, director of the police unit.

Solano informed that mecanisms were placed at the place so people didn’t consume alcohol and they were worth it. However, to carry out the drug control, it was necessary the intervention of the officers.

In addition to drugs, authorities seized bladed weapons.
