August 13, 2019 by Staff News Writer

On Monday, the National Emergency Commission (CNE) referred to the First National Evacuation Drill due to earthquake, which is scheduled for August 19th.

With the presence of relief authorities, such as the Fire Department and the Costa Rican Red Cross, the institution provided details of the drill that will take place from 9:00 am and 10:00 am.

According to data provided by the CNE, some 944 thousand people -among families and staff of institutions- have registered to participate.

The objective is that through a mobile application enabled starting next Wednesday, called SimulacroCR, companies or families participating in the simulation will make their report.

The app works for both iOS and Android.

Our country is betting on the safety of its workers, its students, its patients, its elderly, people with disabilities, their family and even the safety of their pets,”

said Alexander Solis, executive president of the CNE.
