Community safety training in Las Tres Marías

February 28, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The residents of San Ramón are united to ensure community safety, this time in the community Las Tres Marias 2, where training courses on the subject recently began.

The intention is to strengthen police-community work, in order to unite efforts, so that neighbors and the Public Force can fight against crime in the area.

“The idea is to train a group of neighbors so they learn to develop strategies in conjunction with the Public Force to reduce crime, while also carrying out projects to benefit the community, creating and strengthening ties of solidarity,” explained Alexandra Montero, head of the Community Safety program.

The participants can expand their knowledge on legal issues, criminalistic, domestic violence, drugs and preventive measures.

Currently, there are 40 active groups in San Ramón. This number is expected that in the coming months this number will continue to grow for the benefit of the residents.
