Costa Rica will report to the UN on human rights

Costa Rica will be assessed on its progress and promotion of human rights. On Monday, the State will be evaluated by another 92 nations in the framework of the session of the Working Group on the Universal Periodic Review of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations Organization.

The government must give an account of the international obligations it has acquired in the area of human rights with different organizations.

The national report will be presented this Monday in Geneva, Switzerland, by Nancy Marín Espinoza, Minister of Communication. The official Delegation is also made up of Elayne Whyte, Ambassador Permanent Representative of Costa Rica to the United Nations Office with headquarters in Geneva, as well as by the official legislator Enrique Sánchez.
