Costa Rica would be the next country to join the OECD

May 28, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Ángel Gurría, secretary general of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), expressed his confidence in the fact that Costa Rica will formalize its accession to this organization later this year or early 2019.

Costa Rica would become the fourth Latin American member, after Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, whose income was accession last week. Three other Latin American countries -Argentina, Brazil, and Peru- are working with the organization and will begin the negotiation process.
