Costa Rican dairy entrepreneurs are innovating and growing their business

October 20, 2016 by Staff News Writer

23 dairy entrepreneurs from around the country gathered on October 18th and 19th at Expolácteos 2016, a fair held at the Wyndham Herradura Hotel.

They presented various milk products: cheese, ice cream, combinations of goat and cow milk, among others.

They also expressed that throughout the growth of their companies they have obtained the assistance from the National Institute of Learning (INA), through training and research that generate added value to their products.

Cesar Durán, head of the Food Industry Center from INA, said that the fair was the result of their growth and that they should use it to stay on the market.

The advantage is that they are starting to be known by the public, they can sell their products and generate income, and they also have the possibility of doing business with other colleagues or suppliers and finally make some kind of productive chain,

added Durán.

The meeting organized by the Milk Producers’ Chamber also featured National and international talks about this market.
