Costa Rican diplomacy will seek peaceful solution to Venezuelan crisis

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica announced that the head of that portfolio, Manuel Ventura, will travel to Peru to the meeting of the Lima Group, in order to find political solutions for the crisis in Venezuela.

Ventura said that

Costa Rican diplomacy will always be present in those initiatives that promote a peaceful solution to controversies. Costa Rica will persist in its efforts to activate its greater diplomatic resources to seek a political solution to the crisis in Venezuela.”

After this meeting, the chancellor will return to the country in order to lead the III Ministerial Meeting of the “International Contact Group” for Venezuela, constituted by the European Union and 12 countries of Europe and Latin America and to be held in San José, on May 6th and 7th.
