An unusual event made Lawrence Casal and his wife to remain speechless early on Monday, when they found a subject sleeping in their living room in San Francisco de Dos Ríos.

According to Casal, his wife got up at 4:00 a.m. and saw the subject fully asleep, so she immediately ran to him.

Neither of them could believe it. Careful not to wake the subject, they called 9-1-1 and when checking the house, they found a broken window mesh.

The first thing I did was grab a knife and call the police, we tried to make as little noise as possible because we did not know what had happened to the guy. Police came in and the guy did not react at any time,”

explained Casal.

When the police and the Red Cross arrived, and after a review, they checked that everything was in place, including a computer. However, they do not rule out that this person’s intention was to rob the house, although they don’t know what happened to him once he entered the property.

What we assume, because he was extremely intoxicated, is that he did not come alone. Maybe the other guy chose to leave. The Red Cross took him unconscious,”

explained Casal, who added that a few days ago in the same area they found a guy asleep in a vehicle he was trying to steal.

Despite the horror, the affected said that they will not file a complaint against the subject, because he could not take anything from the house and they fear retaliation.

The Red Cross confirmed that the subject was transferred unconscious to Calderón Guardia Hospital, without identity documents.
