Criminal case opened against Prosecutor for alleged bribery of “Palidejo”

April 12, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The Public Prosecutor’s Office asked the Deputy Prosecutor for Probity, Transparency and Anticorruption to open a criminal case against Mauricio Boraschi, Deputy Prosecutor of Territorial Prosecutors and former Chief of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS).

In a press release, the Attorney General, Emilia Navas, asked the Prosecutor’s Office for Probity to open the criminal case in order to investigate the alleged crimes denounced by Alejandro Jiménez, alias “Palidejo” and that were disclosed in an interview with Diario Extra.

“Palidejo” said he pointed to Boraschi as the person who gave him information about the investigation carried out by the police authorities against him and indicated that for that reason he paid him “a lot of money”.

Navas asked the Prosecutor’s Office for Probity to send a report within one week with the status of all the cases under investigation that are being pursued against judicial officials.

Boraschi left the Direction of the DIS in the Chinchilla Miranda administration after CRHoy.com announced that he traveled to Peru on a plane of a person of interest.
