July 9, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Authorities of the Public Force and the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) are trying to find several individuals who impersonated police officers to commit a robbery under the method known as “bajonazo” in Orotina.

The event occurred on Saturday afternoon in the border area between Orotina and Pozón.

According to the report by the Press Office of the Ministry of Public Security, the victim told the authorities that several individuals who were traveling on board two pick-up vehicles threatened him and stole a blue Volkswagen Jetta.

According to Rodrigo Alfaro, deputy director of the Puntarenas Public Force, the operations in the sector are still in place to find both the vehicle and the suspects.
