Crocodile in a pool scares people in Guanacaste

June 18, 2018 by Staff News Writer

A family from Playa Grande de Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, had the scare of their lives when they found a crocodile in a pool on Friday night.

According to Guana News, who shared the video, when the tenants gave the alert to the site manager at around 7:00 p.m., at first it was thought that it was an iguana or another large reptile, but to their surprise it was actually a two-meter crocodile swimming in the pool.

After catching the animal and marking it, representatives of the MINAE released it in a nearby estuary.
