Crocodile scared residents of Puntarenas

May 17, 2018 by Staff News Writer

On Thursday morning, a crocodile walked around Chacarita de Puntarenas like it owned the town.

Dennis Salazar, supervisor of the Fire Department, reported that the animal was behind a house in the yard and the owners realized the danger it represented for other animals and for the neighbors.

It is a medium-sized animal. The specialists are trying to capture it with special equipment. It is unknown if crocodiles are common in this area.
