Costa Rican producer Marysela Zamora and her short film “Cualquier Día” will represent the country at the Latin American Global Film Festival.

This festival, which takes place in the Dominican Republic, is recognized for being one of the most important film fest in the Caribbean region. Zamora is the only Costa Rican that participates with a national production.

Her objective is to show Costa Rican women’s ability to create quality films.

I’m proud and happy to represent Costa Rica in such an important event, but I will also participate in the Mercado del Cine with a film produced along with Adrián Castro, which is called Dormilonas,

affirmed Zamora.

“Cualquier Día” already has an international name: it has been part of festivals in Morocco, Uruguay and Mexico. In fact, the short film won the prize for Best Children’s Performance, granted to leading role Catalina Mora at the Cineframe Festival of India.

In March, the short film will premiere at the Chicago Women’s Film Festival in the United States as part of its promotional strategy.

According to the creator, the short film was acquired by Argentina short film distributor Hace 30 minutos and, thanks to it, the exhibition of the audiovisual material in the international festivals has been achieved.
