Cyclist from Curridabat’s accident is still in coma

February 15, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Lucía was one of the cyclists who were brutally run over in Curridabat on January 29th. She was left in a coma and her condition does not change.

Juliana Espinoza, Lucia’s cousin, explained that her condition does not worsen or improve, which is why doctors continue to report it as “stable but delicate.”

The family said that Lucia has not been subject to any surgery until Tuesday.

A surgeon came out talking about 4 surgeries, but this is a lie, according to Lucia’s relatives.

The woman remains in a coma in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Calderón Guardia Hospital. In addition to an injury that compromises her leg, Lucía has a major trauma to the skull.

The tragic accident took the lives her three friends.
