Dozens of cyclists participated in a “cleateada” on Sunday to promote sustainable mobility and urban cycling.

The “Cleteada: Conociendo la ciclovía” was organized Colectivo Pedalizate. It started at 8:30 a.m. from Plaza Roosvelt in Montes de Oca and ended in La Sabana.

This activity is also part of the third edition of Ciclo Siete that takes place from April 22nd to 27th. The project, which is carried out in all of Ibero-America, seeks to raise awareness about the importance of making more people visible and inspire them on environmental issues through different initiatives and experiences.

The week for sustainability will continue on April 26th with a gastronomy day and organic ingredients in Barrio Escalante. Sports and recreational activities will be carried out throughout the day. And on April 27th there will be a talk on education for sustainable development and the role of universities in the fulfillment of these objectives at the Cicap Auditorium at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) at 4:00 p.m.
