CRH

The national authorities confirmed the finding of a dead whale in the sector of Tulemar in Quepos.

According to Carlos Orrego, manager of Wildlife of the National System of Conservation Areas (Sinac), the animal arrived to the shore on Tuesday night.

At the moment the causes of the death of the whale are unknown. However, the animal was already buried.

Authorities confirmed that the tide took the whale to the beach. In the last hours heavy rains are reported in the national Pacific.

This situation, explained Juan Carlos Fallas, Director of the National Meteorological Institute, is due to the tropical storm that is in the Pacific near Mexico.
