Dollar Exchange remains low

The exchange rate of the dollar fell for the eighth consecutive day and touched the lowest point of the year this Monday, when it reached ¢ 596.34 in the Foreign Currency Market (Monex).

The price of the currency started 2019 at ¢609 and peaked at the beginning of February, when it rose to ¢ 614.

On Monday, while the exchange rate decreased in the wholesale market, bank reduced the value to around ¢ 602.

Traditionally, during the high season of tourism, in the first months of the year, there is a decrease in the price of the dollar, as a result of the arrival of foreign currency.
