Earthquake shook the Central Valley this Sunday

A 3.1 degree earthquake with an epicenter in Santo Domingo de Heredia shook the country at 5:22 pm yestaerday.

According to the Costa Rican Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (Ovsicori), the earthquake had a depth of six kilometers and was located 0.4 kilometers southeast of Santo Domingo de Heredia.

Several users of social networks stated they perceived the telluric movement in areas such as Ipís, Montes de Oca, San Francisco de Dos Ríos, Heredia and La Unión.
