‘El Chapo’ Guzmán will be extradited to the United States

According to the Mexican government, Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Loera, leader of Sinaloa Cartel, will be extradited within the next few hours to the United States.

A report from El Universal stated that Guzman was at Ciudad Juárez International Airport, ready to be sent to New York City. Other media such as Televisa and Univision repeated the information.

Guzman is one of the most important Mexican capos, he had a great activity in the eighties and nineties of the last century.

He was born on April 4th, 1957, at Sinaloa, where many figures related to the illegal drug business and organized crime in Mexico come from.

He’s been captured and sentenced, but he’s managed to escape from prison. The last time he did so ws on July 11th, 2015 from the state prison in Mexico (in the center of the country), where he was held since his arrest in February 2014. However, he was arrested in January 2016.
