Exchange rate holds up in the Monex market

October 16, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The exchange rate stopped increasing in the Foreign Currency Market (Monex). On Tuesday, it marked the second consecutive closing to the downside.

With slight decreases compared to the maximum marked on Thursday, the price in this market has decreased ¢2.87.

The decrease in the price of the dollar has been accompanied by lower amounts traded and fewer stabilization interventions.

Last Thursday the barrier of ¢ 600 was also exceeded in the banks, for the first time since May 2017.
