Executive committed to improving employability for people with disabilities

May 29, 2019 by Staff News Writer

The government is committed to generating greater opportunities and employability conditions for people with disabilities.

This Tuesday, the incumbent president, Marvin Rodriguez, and Labor Minister, Steven Nunez, signed a decree for the creation of the National Commission on Employability and Work for People with Disabilities.

This body will articulate actions, plans, programs and projects of public institutions so that initiatives can be generated to reinforce employability processes, in addition to the formulation, design and joint implementation of inclusive public policies for people with disabilities.

Give another look at labor inclusion, an increasingly human vision, where disability is not an obstacle for people to access full enjoyment and [respect for] their human rights,”

said Núñez after signing the decree that took place at a press conference after the Government Council.
