On November 12th, a tour took place in the North Huetar region as part of the plan run by the Chamber of Exporters of Costa Rica (CADEXCO) in order to take advantage of the Asian market.

The trip was made along with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Song Yanbin and representatives of the Municipality of San Carlos.

Laura Bonilla, President of the Chamber, stated that the delegation visited Upala Agrícola Company, Ticofrut and Water Monterreal, which showed to be suitable to market their products in China, since this is a market with preferences for fruits and fresh products.

They also toured El Agua Juan Castro Blanco National Park (APANAJUCA) and inspected the progress of Muelle Business Park and Business Park project, an infrastructure that includes in its first stage near 20 companies engaged in agribusiness, technology and logistics.

During this work, the quality of the products of this area and the opportunity they have to be positioned in China was proven.
