Exporters would have an extension to buy supplies without VAT

June 28, 2019 by Staff News Writer

National exporters who sell at least 75% of their purchases abroad, would have an extension to buy their inputs without the 13% VAT surcharge.

According to Taxation, a document was sent to President Carlos Alvarado that will give them six months of extension.

The letters that are already valid would remain until the end of the year; while those that expire this month or in July, will also have that benefit.

If any company wants to expand the list of exempt goods or services they will have the obligation to do so through the Exonet platform, but this time, Taxation will not check if they are registered in the system.

If the exporters do not subscribe to this platform, they would be prone to increases in their production processes.
