A cougar decided to visit a family on Tuesday morning in El Alto de Capulín, in Puntarenas. The animal was in the courtyard of the house, located 500 meters from Palenque Lagunilla. After observing it, the owners of the house called the authorities to ask for help.
Firefighters from the Garabito station moved units M-10 and V-85 and found the cougar in the yard. The animal was captured by firefighters and delivered to personnel of the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC), with the objective of providing attention and transfer it.
In 2019, the Fire Department has dealt with 8,558 animal incidents.
