Firefighters and Red Cross locate trapped people in Guanacaste

On Sunday afternoon, two firefighters were dragged by a river when they tried to help four people trapped in Bagaces Guanacaste, in the sector of Aguas Claras de Guayabo.

According to the Fire Department, they received unofficial reports that the people were trapped on an islet. However, at the time the firefighters performed the rescue operations, they were dragged by the water.

We move units and equipment and confirm the location of four people and our two partners in perfect condition,”

said the central.

The Red Cross Communications Center confirmed that the extraction of those affected.
