Forensic doctor and OIJ checked health conditions of Juan Carlos Bolaños

December 27, 2017 by Staff News Writer

A forensic doctor and agents of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) are verified the health conditions of the cement importer Juan Carlos Bolaños, as confirmed by a source linked to the case.

The Public Ministry had confirmed on December 14th that Legal Medicine would evaluate the case of Bolaños’ knee at the request of his lawyers.

On Wednesday, Mariano Barrantes, Director of Social Adaptation, determined that the Chinese cement importer should stay two more days at the Unibe Clinic in Tibás, after receiving the medical report by the specialist that serves Bolaños.

Bolaños Rojas underwent surgery on December 24th for an injury on his right knee, and the original recovery period ended on Wednesady.

In addition, the OIJ is investigating the presence of several men who arrived in a vehicle and on a motorcycle to ask about Bolaños. There are judicial agents on the site trying to establish why these men came to the clinic and what were their intentions.
