General Cañas road will be closed today

December 7, 2016 by Staff News Writer

General Cañas road will be closed today, near Francisco Orlich bridge, in front of Real Cariari.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, the closure will be from December 7th, at 10 pm to December 8th, at 5 am. It will only be from Alajuela to San José. Authorities aim to change the road surface in some specific places.

As an alternative route, drivers can go throught Ferretería EPA crossing, travel through la Cenada and return to General Cañas road. However, articulated vehicles can’t do so. Their option is to continue driving until La Valencia and return to General Cañas road on Juan Pablo II bridge.
