Due to the unloading of new metallic elements of the structure, the General Cañas road will be closed on Thursday, December 08th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in the direction of Alajuela-San José. The closure will apply for trucks at the crossing of EPA Belén and for light vehicles and buses from Castella Conservatory.
Meanwhile, drivers are asked to consider using the train between Belén, Heredia, Río Segundo and San Joaquín towards San José, and vice versa.
As an alternative route, drivers can go through Ferretería EPA crossing, travel through la Cenada and return to General Cañas road. However, articulated vehicles can’t do so. Their option is to continue driving until La Valencia and return to General Cañas road on Juan Pablo II bridge.
