Get ready for the heat

March 1, 2017 by Staff News Writer

According to the weather report by the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) the hottest and driest days of the year are approaching, which is normal during the dry season in the country.

In March, there is a lower influence of trade winds due to the weakening of the high pressure systems in the Atlantic, making March in the hottest month, as usual.

Still, the IMN forecast windy conditions for the first days of March. Wind gusts could reach 80 km / h in the mountains, in the Caribbean and in the Northern Zone, and morning rains could be present aswell.

Most of the Pacific and Central Valley will be sunny without rainfall.
