Goichoechea has a new bridge!

September 23, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Citizens from Goicoechea inaugurated the bridge over Patalillo gully, which was in poor condition and complicated the traffic among Goicoechea, Vásquez de Coronado and Montes de Oca.

For this reason, the district of Mata de Plátano celebrated the reconstruction. City of Goicoechea data indicate that more than 56,000 people will benefit from the work.

The project was valued at 112 million colones and it was carried out through an agreement between the Municipality of Goicoechea and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT).

mayor Ana Madrigal described the work as vital to the development of the canton. It is expected that in the coming weeks the Reconstruction of the road bridge over Mozotal gully project is carried out, which will join the districts of Ipís and Purral.
