Heavy rains cause floods in Cartago

April 11, 2019 by Staff News Writer

Yesterday’s intense rains over the province of Cartago caused traffic chaos and material damage in various homes.

The National Emergency Commission confirmed that they have received three emergency reports in the community of El Guarco and one more in Paraíso.

The dispatch department of the Firefighter’s Corps indicated that, in addition, they are dealing with a short circuit in a light pole. It is believed that the excess water caused the damage.
