ICE forms $1.4 billion trust fund for Reventazón hydroelectric project

National Electricity Institute (ICE) has signed a $1.4 billion trust agreement to be managed by Scotiabank for the management, leasing and construction of the power plant. The hydroelectric project is cited as important to Central America and the Caribbean, and will produce 305 megawatts. Funding for the project is provided by the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.
