If these 10 legislators had a different job, they would be fired!

November 7, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Can you imagine what would happen after missing 61 days of work? Well, according to the Executive Director of the Legislature, from January to September, 2016, Humberto Vargas, from Social Christian Unity Party (PUSC), recorded 60 unexcused absences and a leave.

That is almost 7 times per month. Vargas leads the ranking of the 10 legislators with the highest number of absences to the plenary in the first 9 months of the year.

The press tried to talk to Vargas, but he didn´t answer his cell phone.

However, in a previous statement on May 21st he admitted that he misses the plenary a lot because he prefers “not to listen to nonsenses”.

He added that he watches the sessions on TV in his office and by doing that,  he is in touch with the people who voted for him.
