If you are planning to buy gunpowder, follow these advices

October 28, 2016 by Staff News Writer

It is October, but Christmas is just around the corner and gunpowder comes with it.

Poor use of this material may bring horrible consequences for you, so it is important that if you are planning to buy gunpowder, you do it legally.

Pyrotechnics are the only legal gunpowder. When it ignites, it produces an effect of white or colored light and it doesn’t explode. Any store that sells gunpowder should have permits from the Ministry of Health,

declared William Barrantes, General Director of Health.

The sale of explosive powder is prohibited by law.

To sell gunpowder, establishments must legally label products and they can’t be located in residential homes. They must place the powder in a glass case that is not exposed to sunlight and have a fire extinguisher, as well as non-smoking signs. Its sale to minors is prohibited.
