In a month, the police will confirm remains are from Cody Roman Dial

May 29, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) announced that within a month will have ready a study to confirm the bones found in the Corcovado National Park belong to the missing young American Cody Roman Dial.

Anthropological and forensic evidence will clarify the causes of death of the young man, said Walter Espinoza, director of the OIJ.

Dial disappeared in mid 2014. His disappearance had been a total mystery until last May 20, when some remains and personal belongings were found.

For the police, the death of Dial was not a murderer. Close to the remains, were also found his passport, some cash, and a compass.

Roman Dial, Cody’s dad, thanked the support provided by the Costa Rican authorities during the search process.
