INCAE creates the Latin American Center for Entrepreneur

July 18, 2016 by Staff News Writer

INCAE Business School, located in Costa Rica, has created the Latin American Center for Entrepreneur in order to find resources for an investment fund and to promote strengthening activities for entrepreneurs.

Urs Jäger, professor of this institution, said that Costa Rica has a great potential, since 61.3% of the population thinks of entrepreneurship as a good career option, and, according to Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), 63.5% of Costa Rican entrepreneurs are doing it to take advantages of the opportunities.

The new research center will aim to develop and generate a specialization in this area.

The main idea of generating knowledge in the area of entrepreneurship is to create leaders who are not only managers, but they are the owners of businesses and they are also able to generate jobs in their countries. We want these companies to be big and to produce in short or medium term,

stated Jager, director of the new center.
