INCOFER wants to help: train service will also work on Saturdays

November 16, 2016 by Staff News Writer

From November 21st, the train horn will be heard all day long. This is a 3-month, pilot plan approved by INCOFER in order to reduce the complications caused by the closure of River Virilla’s bridge.

The extended hours will apply on Heredia-Alajuela-San José routes and San Antonio de Belén-San José route.

The train schedule has also been modified: it will work on Saturdays. The railway will provide a service from 5:25 am to 2:30 pm.

In addition, INCOFER announced that they will count on the collaboration of the Traffic Police at some crossing points, in order to avoid accidents.
