Indigenous reserve asks for help to repair road

December 5, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Neighbors from the indigenous reserve located in Zapatón de Puriscal, have spent 15 days without public transport service because of a landslide that blocked route 318.

Gerardo Pérez Vargas, one of the affected neighbors, explained that in order to get to the indigenous reserve, they have to walk 10 kilometers from Mastatal.

Threfore, the neighbors of Zapatón request the help of the local government to fix the road and repair the bad state of the highway.

Pérez added that the situation has made it difficult for the local people to go to medical appointments and run errands.
