International Poetry Festival will celebrate its 15th anniversary

Poets from 12 countries will be the protagonists of the International Poetry Festival in Costa Rica that will be held from October 1st to 10th. In addition, the 15th anniversary of the lyrical event will also be celebrated.

More than 20 artists from countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sudan, Spain, Italy, México, Chile and of course representatives from Central America like Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica are going to share their best poetry with the Costa Rican public.

Workshops will be held in 19 locations throughout the country. Among the places that will receive the festival are Cartago, Orotina, Monteverde, Perez Zeledón, Tortuguero, Esparza, Quepos, San Ramón, Liberia, Nicoya and San José.

During the event, there will be free workshops and readings in schools, colleges and prisons. Organizers aim to spark creativity and public awareness.

Before the festival, a recital of national poets will be held on September 24th in the forecourt of La Soledad Church at 2 p.m.
