Italian tried to smuggle four kilos of hashish in a suitcase

An Italian man was caught trying to transfer a load of hashish (marihuana resin) in Juan Santamaría International Airport. The four kilos of drug was hidden in a double lining of his luggage and was seized by authorities

Drug Control Police (PCD) officers detected the foreigner coming from Mexico and made a meticulous revision of his luggage, inside which they discovered a double lining with three rectangular packages. The 45-year-old subject is surnamed Costas, and had no records, but now he is in the list of suspects of international drug trafficking. For this crime, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
