Judicial employees demonstrated against SUPEN proposal

April 4, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Employees of the Judiciary demonstrated in front of the Legislative Assembly against the proposal presented by the Superintendence of Pensions (SUPEN) to reform their retirement regime.

Representatives of various unions were in front of the Congress to demand that legislators do not pass the bill and to extend the legislative committee’s deadline to rule it.

Juan Carlos Sebiani, of the National Association of Judicial Professionals, explained that on the one hand, they support the legislative commission to grant a new extension to rule the initiative, in order to have enough time to study the text. On the other hand, they also reject the SUPEN proposal, which was received by the legislators of the Special Committee on Pension Schemes from the Legislative Assembly on March 29th.
