Justice will protect Campos Mendoza in prison

September 1, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Reynaldo Villalobos, director of Social Adaptation admitted that they have received several threats against the suspect of murdering, beheading and mutilating an eight-year-old child in Guácimo. As consequence, he assured that the detainee will be protected because it is the institution responsability to guarantee his safety.

The subject will be in pre-trial detention in a correctional facility.

However, Villalobos declared that when a suspect of killing or abusing minors enters the facility, inmates try to take the law into their hands.

Once we receive these people, we have to take into account all these elements in order to determine the location. it is possible that this boy will be in an individual cell,

explained Villalobos.

The suspect had an arrest warrant for an alleged attempt of abuse in 2012 and an apparent sexual abuse of a minor in 2014.
