Justo Orozco won’t go to his preliminary hearing

May 12, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The preliminary hearing for the two sexual abuses cases involving former legislator, Justo Orozco, will be held on May 12th.

Orozco’s attorney, Hugo Navas, explained that

“it’s not mandatory for the accused or the complainant to show up. The meeting only needs the presence of the attorneys and the judge”.

Navas stated that he’ll open his intervention with last week’s situation when both the complainants dropped the lawsuit after an agreement, but later changed their minds.

Both cases date back to June, 30th 2015 when Orozco allegedly offered a ride to the victims, who went to him asking for a job and help to acquire a housing bonus.
