Kidnapped American was found buried in Quepos cementery

The mystery surrounding the whereabouts of William Sean Creighton was clarified after his body was found in a grave in the cemetery of Quepos. This was reported by US media, citing Costa Rican judicial sources.

Sean Creighton, 43, a Virginia native and founder of online betting house 5Dimes was kidnapped on September 24th last year in Curridabat.

We can confirm that the Costa Rican authorities identified the remains of a US citizen in Costa Rica,”

said a spokesman for the US State Department told ESPN in a statement, following a consultation by the sports chain about the whereabouts of the bookmaker.

added the website.

Two traffic police were the cornerstone in the criminal organization plan behind the kidnapping and disappearance of Sean Creighton, owner of the sportsbook located in San Pedro de Montes de Oca.

The complex crime involved five members of a family, several relatives and two officers. As Wálter Espinoza, director of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), described, the action of the traffic officers allowed the victim to be intercepted while traveling aboard his vehicle through the Granadilla area of ​​Curridabat.
