March 21, 2017 by Staff News Writer

On Monday, President Luis Guillermo Solís said that the now-called Alfredo González Flores Bridge would be ready on April 30th, with all six lanes enabled.

Andrés Muñoz Piedra, engineer in charge of the project, said that 80% of the works are already ready.

On the other side of San José-Alajuela direction we already have more than 60% of completed works and the truss is already installed. We only need a pair of tridents. In Alajuela-San José direction we still need the sidewalk, which would be concluded tomorrow,”

explained Muñoz.

In addition, the electrical and power work on the bridge by the National Company of Force and Light (CNFL) has not been completed.

On Monday, the authorities of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) authorized three lanes on the bridge Alfredo González Flores.
