La Platina’s closure on Monday

January 23, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The bridge over Virilla River will be closed on Monday from 6:00 a.m.

An official from the Central Communications of the Traffic Police reported that at this time no congestion is reported. However, after 6:00 a.m. only emergency vehicles and public transport will be able to travel in that area.

According to the reports of the drivers, there are traffic jams on alternate routes and near Castella, due to the vehicles that failed to pass before the closure.

The closure will be maintained until 9:00 a.m. when one lane per direction will be enabled. However, it is better to avoid passing through that area and take the alternate routes through Jardines del Recuerdo-Pozuelo and Route 27.

The transit will open for private vehicles and private transportation from the EPA hardware store in Belén to the Juan Pablo II bridge, during the established periods, which are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m.
