Legislator denounces Samuel Yankelewitz is fooling them

February 20, 2018 by Staff News Writer

On Monday, Patricia Mora denounced that businessman Samuel Yankelewitz feigned suffering health problems to avoid appearing before the investigating committee set up to clarify the bank loans granted to the Yanber company.

Initially I advocated, out of respect for your age and supposed discomfort, that they would not proceed to call the Public Force to bring you here. However, they inform us that at the same time you were in the hairdressing salon,”

denounced the legislator.

Yankelewitz is suspected of having falsified Yanber Corporation’s financial statements, thereby swindling more than 20 public and private financial entities. After postponing his appearance on several occasions, the members of the Commission called him again for February 20th.

Ottón Solís had assured that Yankelewitz was lying.

They lied with financial statements. They lied with companies saying they are not partners, and they are. They lied with a company in Panama that did not exist. They lied with exports they did not do. They lied with the payment of taxes. So, I believe that this is a lie, and that it is not a health issue,”

declared Solís after the special congressional committee investigating the questioned loans granted by public banks suspended the session on Monday.
