Legislator Ramos: “I will block the Legislative Assembly!”

December 16, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Legislator Rosibel Ramos, from Partido Unión Social Cristiana (PUSC) threatened to block the legislative branch from January, after accusing the government of having abandoned the South.

Ramos warned that, from January, she will present motions to all bills requested by the Executive Branch, excluding the initiatives related to wage bonuses in the public sector, in the event that the Government include them in the special sessions of Congress.

The legislator, who represents the southern area, demanded funds from the government to repair roads and infrastructure in Pérez Zeledón, Tarrazú, León Cortés, Puriscal, Turrubares and Mora.

She insisted on the adoption of a proposal that would take ¢ 10 billion from the public debt, including an extraordinary Budget, to deal with the damage caused by Hurricane Otto in several communities.
